Post & Beam Country Barns
Our typical and most cost effective country barn is a 22’ x 36’, 1 ½ story barn with a full loft, swinging barn doors and 2-0 x 2-1 barn sash windows. For a decorative touch you can add transom windows above the large barn doors. This size barn is great for housing large tractors and other large equipment you wouldn’t want taking up space in your garage.
Versatility of Design
As with all of our designs the country barn is very versatile. There are many different design options to optimize the space for your specific needs. Instead of a full loft you can have a 1/2 or 1/3 loft to maximize headroom on first story. Adding a lean-to to the main frame of the barn makes a great space for a workbench for all your projects, and still leaves plenty of room to store large equipment of park a car or two.
There are many ways to make your country barn suit your needs. The lean-to can be added to eve side or gable side of barn, can run the full length of the main frame or less if you only need a small storage area that doesn’t intrude on the frame proper. Add a cupola to your barn for extra ventilation in loft or just for aesthetics. Almost any vision you have for you barn can be realized as we pride ourselves in working closely with our customers on the design process which makes all our barns just a little different than the last.
